Even though I go through tough times with Jesus, he always helps me to get through it. My life revolves around Jesus and his resurrection has hugely impacted me. Jesus is the light of my life and he gives me strength and acceptance for whatever I do. Whatever I do, I make sure that it is serving him.
Jesus is the son of God, an extreme gift, and my best friend. Jesus has definitely been the biggest and most important person in my life ever since I was little. I learned of him as a baby. As a baby, I got baptized but I never really knew what it meant. When I was little, I thought that Bible stories were just made up bedtime stories. Now that I am older, I understand that everything in the Bible actually happened. It was real. Jesus is real. I used to think that these miracles he made could only happen in Bible times and these amazing people were only in Bible times but that isn’t true! I learned recently from my sister that this type of thing still happens today. Caitlin went to Papua New Guinea and she came to the blind and touched them and they were healed, just like Jesus. I know that every step I make, every word I speak, and every move I make, Jesus is watching and looking over me. He can do all things.
My life with Jesus is spectacular and I can’t picture my life without him for a second. If I were to even think about going through life without him, I cry because he is everything and anything. If I do anything without him I feel weak and that I am missing something. Sometimes I gossip and I am mean. I do not like this kind of attitude and personality. Sometimes I am mean to my own best friend! This makes me so sad. I wish I could be a better person and be more like Jesus. He has done so much for me and it is so sad I can’t make it up to him physically. Jesus doesn’t want us to make it up to him. He just wants us to spread his word and go out into the world and make disciples. Even though I sin and make bad decisions sometimes, Jesus still loves me and watches over me throughout everything I do. If I do anything I regret, I just pray to him and he will forgive me.
Jesus is the ultimate sacrifice. Back in Bible times, the people used to have to sacrifice animals to wash away their sins. Then a man named Jesus came along. He was nailed on his hands and feet to the cross. He wore a crown of thorns which caused him to bleed heavily. Jesus was in so much pain. He took the place of all of those animals. He is the ultimate sacrifice. He then was placed inside a tomb. Shortly after, the tomb was empty. It was impossible to have someone steal the tomb because the cloths that were wrapped around him were never unwrapped. Three days later, Jesus rose from the dead and made a promise to forgive every sin. His resurrection has hugely impacted me because just knowing that he went through so much pain to make us forgiven makes me so full of joy and I wish I could be more like him. Jesus is my best friend.
