On An icy, murky alley, she waited, flinching at every possible movement on the boulevard. She was waiting. For what? Someone that would never come? Who knew. We may never know for goodness sake!
At last a flurry of steps came up to her box. She idled in her place, like a person waiting for their things in line. Finally, she got up enough courage to move the lid so she could see out of the crippled piece of junk.
Like waking up on Christmas morning, her heart and head filled with joy, but her instinct kept her from presenting her feelings. The one she was waiting for!
Finally she emerged. In sallow robes, the girl ran to embrace the one that she was waiting for.
Startled, the visitor shrieked, but with joy!! “Friend!!! I have waited for you forever!!!!!!!!”, said the Stranger.
They exclaimed with joy for the first time years!! You see, a few years ago, the ruler of their once beautiful city vanished after a raid started amuck the hustle and bustle.
After the raid, a new king emerged. He looked like the nicest guy ever! But, NEVER judge a book by its cover, because the pages in this one are filled in between with malice and hate. In other words, he was wicked and despicable. His name was King Sagan, ruler of the dark side.
King Sagan threatened to everyone in the city. If they so much as struggle, their churches and bibles would be torn apart, piece by piece. He also stated that their ruler would be hung if they try to escape from Syllica.
Destroying the city of Syllica was not easy, for God protected the city! Best he could though. But, after the rant of Sagan, almost all was lost. For weeks, the inhabitants of Syllica were so deprived though, they were happy enough to get a drink of swamp water and the crumbs of old bread.
After the city was invaded, laws were made that put the community’s life at stake. Silly laws too! If you didn’t wear green on some days, you’d be put in jail for 3 months.
Some children were sent to labor camps. Others were maids. The only other option in this circumstance was to have their life taken. But the one rule stayed the same. No families were put together.
Although some went to the Lord, others were spared to become protectors of the world, going as far as Bejing! (By the way, the protectors were the good guys.)
Which leads us up to date, AND a perfect cliffhanger!
