Gerrit DJ - "Perfect Journal"

My steps were light as I cheerfully walked in the house. I deposited my empty backpack into the cupboard. I was about to experience the perfect afternoon – an afternoon with no homework.

My nose sniffed the air. The scent of the fresh cookies filled the air. I sat at the bar my mom gave me some cookies. The cookies tasted really good.

When I was done eating my cookies I played soccer with my brothers. I loved being able to play with them. Once it got dark I went in the house. I asked my mom if I could set the table, she said yes. After I set the table I had free time. I used my free time wisely. It was such a treat.

Before I knew it, I could smell my mom’s delicious dinner. I sat down for dinner. In front of me was Dutch soup. After dinner we read Mr. Hiemstra’s devotional that he wrote. After we read the devotional we played some games. We played Rummikub, and Uno. It was perfect.

After we played some games we watched football for a while. The Chargers and the Raiders were playing. The Chargers are wining 45to7 in the 4th quarter it was perfect. After the game was over I watched a movie, I had popcorn and a drink. It was perfect. The movie was pretty good. After I watched the movie my dad and I went in our Jacuzzi. It was perfect. After the Jacuzzi I went to bed. I thought about all the things I did that day. Not having to do homework.
